Construction of a roundabout at the Main Street/High Street intersection in Sheffield will commence on Monday 15th July 2024.
Works will be undertaken by Council’s contractor, Treloar Civil & Quarries, for a period of approximately 17 weeks (subject to inclement weather and latent conditions).
The works will require temporary traffic management arrangements which will include Main Street reduced to single lane traffic for the duration of the works and parts of High Street will be closed with a detour provided. Please see the maps for further information.
The roundabout will be the first in Sheffield and will improve vehicle safety and movements at this busy intersection and will also improve pedestrian safety with defined crossing locations and physical refuges on both Main Street crossings.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by these works and appreciates your patience and cooperation.
Please contact Treloar Civil on 6491 1686 or Kentish Council on 6491 0200 should you have any queries.
