Waste Collection
Waste collection is weekly on either Wednesday or Friday depending upon where you live. The service is available in the Sheffield, Railton, Barrington and South Spreyton areas. You can download a map of the service area here.
If you would like to be supplied with mobile garbage and recycling bins, please complete an
Application for Garbage/Recycling Collection and return it to Council.
Please note that the recycling bin is supplied with the garbage and it is not optional.
Domestic Recycling Services
Recycling collection is FORTNIGHTLY on Friday from 6am. Recycling Collection Dates for 2024 are:

Safe Battery Disposal
Batteries should never be put in general waste or recycling bins. Batteries should be taped and disposed of using a dedicated battery disposal method such as B-Cycle. Batteries may be disposed of at the Council Office, 69 High Street, Sheffield. Further information is available in the Battery Safety Awareness Brochure.

Ink and Toner Recycling
Kentish Council encourages recycling of your used ink and toner cartridges.
Collection points are located at the Council Offices in High Street Sheffield.
Household Chemicals
Household chemical drop off will occur again at some stage this year on a date to be advised.
