Nominations for Australia Day Awards

The search is on to find those individuals and groups that make a valuable contribution to the Kentish Municipality and recognise them through Kentish Council's Annual Australia Day Awards.  There are five categories to be awarded -

  • Australia Day Citizen of the Year;
  • Young Citizen of the Year;
  • Community Event of the Year,
  • Volunteer Awards for 500, 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 hours of service, and
  • Recognition of Outstanding Service by a Volunteer.

How to nominate

  1. Download an Australia Day Nomination Form (available late 2024 or phone 6491 0200 for a form to be posted to you.
  2. Ensuring your nominee meets the eligibility criteria, complete the personal information about your nominee and attach your submission addressing the criteria relevant to the section in which you are nominating.

Awards are presented on Australia Day (26 January).
