At the May 2026 Council Meeting, Council endorsed a suite of documents relating to Latrobe-Kentish Open Space, Sport and Recreation Plan 2024-2034 including:

These documents provide a long-term framework to guide Latrobe and Kentish Councils in the planning, development and management of open spaces, sport and recreation facilities over the next 10 years.

The scope includes a planning framework, prioritised action plan, cycling and shared pathway infrastructure plan, and preliminary master plans to help inform future design and community consultation processes. It also establishes design standards for a range of open space functions including sports fields, parks, trails, civic spaces and conservation reserves, while supporting coordinated decision-making with State Government agencies, neighbouring councils and community stakeholders.

The documents will help drive considerations for external funding opportunities and future budget allocation priorities.
