Railton Dump Point Temporary Closure
Council wishes to advise that the Railton Dump Point located at Railway Park Esplanade remains temporarily closed. This facility is operated and maintained by Council and is currently unavailable while essential underground pipe work is being completed.
TasWater were scheduled to commence works this week; however, the start has been postponed due to ongoing consultation with property owners. Works are now expected to begin next week, subject to final approvals.
At this stage, a reopening date has not been confirmed. Council will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
For enquiries relating to the works, please contact TasWater on 136 992.
Alternative free dump points are available at:
- Sheffield Recreation Ground RV Park – 30 Spring Street, Sheffield
- Cotton Street Overnight Stop – Cotton Street, Latrobe
Council appreciates the community’s patience and understanding while this important infrastructure work is completed.
